Privacy

Bathroom Codes is a public map. There are no accounts. Anything you submit is visible to everyone who opens the site.
What we store
- The bathroom location you pin: a name and approximate coordinates.
- Each code you submit and when it was submitted.
- Vote counts (works / doesn't / report) per code.
- A salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address, attached to each vote you cast, so one person can't vote a code up or down repeatedly. The raw IP is never stored.
What we don't store
- Your name, email, phone, or anything that identifies you.
- Cookies for tracking or advertising.
- Your raw IP address.
Third parties
- Cloudflare Turnstileruns in your browser when you submit a code and verifies you're not a bot. Cloudflare receives a token from your browser; we never see your IP through it.
- OpenFreeMap serves the map tiles. Your browser fetches them directly from
tiles.openfreemap.org. - Photon (Komoot) serves place-name search. Your browser fetches results directly from
photon.komoot.io. - Vercel Analytics records anonymous page-view counts. No IP, no cookies, no fingerprinting.
Deletion
There's no UI for editing or deleting your submissions yet. If you need a code or pin removed, email cobyweiss99@gmail.com.
